Delaware Ducker
Restored Fall 1997

This style of decked lapstrake row boat was developed on the Delaware Bay for duck hunting in shallow marshes. The unrestored hull was a bare brown hull and a pile of parts. The decks, coamings, and trim are all new cherry. The green deck is canvas stretched over a wooden frame in a very traditional style. These boats can also be set-up for sailing. I am happy to discuss building new models or restoring similar old hulls.
